Emulsifier conduit behaviour

I recently set up a "science gym" for my dupes - emulsifier and 2 desalinators in a loop. The emulsifier provides 1000 kg of storage, right?

If its output pipe gets blocked, then it stops accepting input even if it should have room for more, leading to a situation where I need to empty the pipes:Screenshot_20251114_222052.png.065423e2ef5a801371bab8fbdb4615b0.png

I think this happens because there's an interruption when the desalinator needs to be emptied. (Also it seems the desalinator itself has a delay before it starts processing the first packets of salt water that arrive after its input conduit has been sitting empty.

Steps to Reproduce
  • Build a liquid pipe loop between an emulsifier and 2 desalinators
  • Load up the emulsifier with 1000 kg of water, supply salt
  • Set the emulsifier to produce infinite salt water
  • Let dupes work the emulsifier and desalinators, observe if the loop gets jammed.
