Dupplicants stuck in choice paralysis and do nothing.

On the second asteroid in my current save (Halcyini), i have noticed that dupes sent there will end up deadlocked in some kind of choice paralysis shortly after loading the save, while they still act on internal needs (eat, oxygen, sleep), any other action (digging, building, farming, repairing) unless marked as "maximum priority" is completely ignored, regardless of the non-maximum priority value or that dupes specific task priority.

Its not a pathing issue, when given a move command or when a task is set to maximum priority the dupe can move everywhere that they should be able to.

when not working on a life task, they are stuck in a state of "supplying power materials" which is greyed out in their status panel, and stuck in whatever animation state they were left in when their last action completed, they remain paralyzed this way until hunger, sleep, oxygen, or a move command forces them to act.

Currently i have a single dupe on the second asteroid, however this strange behavior also occurred with multiple dupes stationed there, oddly i have not seen this dupe paralyses on either of the other two inhabited asteroids.

The only mod used is the True Tiles mod, i do not have the stairs mod which is known to cause pathing issues with recent updates.

I have attached the game save to this bug report, hopefully it will be helpful in rooting out the cause of this bug.

Steps to Reproduce

Load attached save file in most recent public build

set player view to second asteroid Halcyini

follow resident dupe Marie until dupe paralysis occurs after completing a single task.

I have got the same issue. Dupe is stuck not moving, with "supplying power materials" rapidly flickering between greyed-out and active as the current task, then being greyed-out without flickering. The current errand on the left was "test text" initially. After a save & reload, it now reads "idle self", even though follow-up tasks are queued:

After selecting a different dupe (Ari in this case), the current task is incorrectly shown on the stuck dupe as well:

This has happened to a portion of my dupes multiple times, both on my starter asteriod as well as a different one.

So far it has always been resolved with a save & reload.

If requested, Ill send a copy of my save & log files, though I do not want to make them publicly accessible here. I am playing with the spaced-out DLC active, and no other DLCs installed on the most recent version (from 4.Dec 2025).

I have the same issue, it seems to be related to my dupes tuning generators. They stop getting stuck if I disable tinker on the generators, but I need the energy.

Changed Status to Known Issue

The next hotfix will include a change that will round partial microchips up so reloading your save will fix it. If you have a reliable way of producing partial microchips please let us know.

if anything, here is my save which has partial microchips due to duplicants filling these bins with them.
