Duplicant refuses to eat food in front of them if door access restrictions set for food storage.

You are correct, this is a know bug that first became noticed when people used automated timers on doors to lock dupes out but left them an Exit with those special permission, dupe would do this.  The only solution found with to have a double lock mechanism, like automation lock on intro door, then floor button locks on first exit door and one way permissions on second, this way dupes at most idle when another dupe chillin in that room
