Alrighty So, since the thermal upgrade - I think; there are instances where duplicants will extract 1000g of water from a tile that doesn't exist. They will do this not infinity, but for a significant amount of time that really hinders their productivity. It is not mop-able and even debug mode instant build does not remove this non-existent water. I've even seen them take it out of the air! eventually it "runs" out, and they continue gathering water from an actual source. it's especially weird because they will pick up water from the same exact spot multiple times but only 1000g at a time. they might run to that spot once, or 30 times instead of just picking up 30kg.
Not the most gamebreaking bug, but probably the most annoying one personally. hope to see this fixed soon. shoutout to the devs ya'll are great :]
In my current world, it happened after I dug an under ground canal whose purpose was to transport water from a mid right-side position to a lower left side. dupes were picking up water off of some spaces where the water used to be, even out of the air.
A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
