I got a new Dupe because I was desperate for an artist and could not assign it to the art job. If the Dupe has a Trait that prevents them from preforming a job then said dupe should not have an interest in it.

Accept a dupe that has the Yokel trait with an interest in Art, one that has a trait that prevents building but has an interest in Build, etc.
Accept a dupe that has the Yokel trait with an interest in Art, one that has a trait that prevents building but has an interest in Build, etc.
A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
