Dupes bypassing Ore Scrubbers

I have dupes hauling slime loaded with germs right past my ore scrubbers.  At best they'll stop and the animation for leading the scrubber will play, but they immediately continue on their path without actually spinning the hopper.

Reloading the game did not fix this issue, but quitting the game and restarting it seems to have cleared it up.
