Deconstruction of highlighted pipe crashes game to desktop

Congratulations, you´ve found your pipe of doom for this save. 

Joke aside, this happens from time to time. Because of reasons, one (or more) tile becomes so obsessed to be in your game, it will rather crash the game, but to be deconstructed...

You may kill it with sandbox mode/debug mode. If you dont want this (because achievements), try to deconstruct other parts of the pipe-network, and then try again. It may work.

Following your advice I deconstructed the pipe network from the other end and managed to remove the offending pipe without crashing.
