Critters seem unable to act when not looked at. They will fast when offscreen, then gorge when looked at. This can lead to them losing happiness even when surrounded by food.

1. Spawn critter in its food. 2. Look away from the critter. 3. Let the game run for a while. 4. Pause 5. Look at the critter. 6. Unpause. 7. It should eat few times in a row
