Crashes When Pausing (result of patch 455421)

After one of my duplicants gains a skill point the next time I try to pause the game it crashes instead. This happened twice, the first time it created a save and I resumed at the exact moment of the crash but was able to continue playing, the second time no save was made and it defaulted to the latest auto/manual save file.

This happened after I downloaded and applied patch 455421 to the game I resumed playing (DLC not activated).

The crash only occurs the moment I press pause. I'm not sure how long I could keep going without pressing pause or if simply opening the menu screen might also cause the crash.


Steps to Reproduce

Have a duplicant acquire a skill point through experience gain triggering a notification stating "<duplicant> has gained a skill point". Then attempt to pause the game which triggers the crash.

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

I am receiving the same crash, but this happens even when I hover over the " [...] has gained a skill point!" notification.
