To my understanding, foods cooked with "clean" water contaminated with food poisoning should be germ free after they've been cooked on the grill. I've confirmed this is the case with both Mush Fries and Gristle Berries. After either one has been cooked, they appear to have 0 surface germs. In both cases when I have them placed in a new refrigerator or ration box (both empty and free of surface germs), they will immediately show that they have food poisoning.
As a side note, if the water sieve doesn't remove food poisoning (or slimelung for that matter) then how can the water it outputs be considered "clean?" What is the definition of "polluted water" if it can be germ free and clean water can contain germs?
Steps to Reproduce
Create a water source (polluted or clean) filled with food poisoning. (If polluted, run it through a sieve to "clean" it). For Bristle berries, use hydroponic farm tiles with bristle blossom and grill the berry when it's harvested. Then store in a new, empty refrigerator or ration box. Immediately, the gristle berry will show has having food poisoning. For mush fry, create mush bars using clean water contaminated with food poisoning. Then grill the mush bar into mush fry. The dropped mush fry should be germ free. Store in a refrigerator or ration box in the same way and again, it will immediately show has having food poisoning
