Conveyor rail contents transferring heat in a vacuum

As far as I understand this: Packets on conveyor rails count as debris and will exchange with any solid tile directly below them. The conveyor rails themselves will not be affected in a vacuum.

Thanks for the response. This may well be what is happening and even be intended. However, it doesn't seem to be a logical heat transfer mechanism and the Wiki indicates thermal conduction for an 'entity (debris) lying on a solid', and if it's on a conveyor rail, it's not lying on a solid.
