Conflicting Traits when Generating World

As shown in the image, Geoactive and Geodormant appeared at the same time during the World Generation Menu.

Steps to Reproduce
Generate a new world/destination/game, randomize traits, sometimes traits will conflict

While that may seem like a bug, that's normal! You'll end up with a little more than average geoactivity with that combination :D

I was thinking it meant I'd be getting normal geoactivity since the two will cancel out. :)

I can't find the post right now with the actual numbers, but it's something like geoactive gives you 1.5x the average number of volcanos and geodormant gives you 0.8x, so overall you get 1.5*0.8 = 1.2x the number of volcanos :)

Nope.

This is not normal. Never made sense (at least for me and many others that report it).
