Computer locks up - requires hard reset

Keflex
  • Branch: Live Branch Version: Steam Pending

I just installed the game today.  When first playing, the game would crash to a Windows blue screen after a few minutes and would require a hard reboot.   I saw the post about Microsoft Visual C++; so I uninstalled and reinstalled it.   After that, I was able to play for several cycles with no crashes.  However, I'm  at cycle 8 and the game will usually crash before cycle 9.   Instead of blue screen, the video freezes and there is a repeating sound; still requires a hard reboot.

Specs:

i7 2600k @ 4.5Ghz
16 GB DDR3 ram
GTX 1080 Ti
Acer Predator 27" montior with gsync on
Sound Blaster Fatality Pro

DxDiag.txt

Steps to Reproduce
Nothing specific. just playing

User Feedback

What you are describing + I know you're overclocking from the 4.5 ghz, really sounds like the usual overclock instability. So turn down your overclocks a little or completely and see if that affects the game.
