Choosing Material for Pipes

I cant build pipes because there is no sedimentary rock. But i had other worlds before and never had that problem. so i found out that i can choose a raw material to build the pipes with, for example sandstone instead of the rock. But it keeps telling me insufficient ressources ( sedimentary rock) although i changed the building material.

Am i missing something or is it a bug?

Steps to Reproduce
Just built some pipes, no sedimentary rock available.
Go to bugs

Yeah i found out that i had to rebuild everything with a different material chosen before. I just find it annoying that you cant just select a different material afterwards or that the dupes dont just take the material most stored or so.
