Change to Airflow Tile and Build pipe/wire makes it disappear

I'm not sure what build I'm using I attached a picture of the problem.

I started out with a mesh tile, iron if that matters. I built over it an airflow tile. Further along into the game I had to build a wire and pipeline through it and the tiles just disappeared when the dupes supplied the materials to construct the wires or pipes. Airflow Tiles Breaking

Steps to Reproduce
Build Mesh Tile/iron, Upgrade to airflow tile. Build wire/pipe through Airflow Tile. When dupe supplies wire/pipe, Airflow tile will disappear.
