Carbon Skimmer always uses 1kg of Water

BMac
  • Branch: Live Branch Version: Windows Can't Reproduce

The Carbon Skimmer always consumes 1000g Water and produces 1000g Polluted Water when operating, regardless of how much Carbon Dioxide is actually being destroyed.

It seems like it should consume and produce an amount proportional to the amount of CO2 destroyed over the maximum CO2 intake (1000 g * Amount g / 300 g).

This should possibly also apply to the power consumption, but I can see it either way.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Build a Carbon Skimmer with all inputs and outputs at the extreme end of a two-tile hallway filled only with low-pressure Carbon Dioxide (~100 g/tile). 2. Observe the liquid input and output quantities as it operates, especially after it's created a near-vacuum at its end of the hallway.

User Feedback

Hi @BMac,

I wasn't able to reproduce the issue from your description.  I put a Carbon Skimmer in a sealed hallway full of low pressure CO2, and collected the output polluted water into an empty container.  The amount of water consumed (and the amount of polluted water produced) was 1000g for every 300g of CO2 that was processed, as expected.

If you continue to observe this issue, providing a save game that reproduces the bug would help us identify if there is anything unique to your situation that is causing the problem.
