Can't set critter feeder filters

You need to "discover" what the critter eats first in your map before selecting anything. For shine bugs, that would be: phosphorite, bristle berry or gristle berry. If you have none of these three items in the resources list, nothing appears when trying to select said resource in the feeder. Maybe there should be a blank square or a question mark to indicate "there is something but what?"
