Can't launch game on Linux

I used to play on Windows and decided to play on a new computer. When launched from Steam, the game tries to launch but fails in about 2 seconds. When I manually launch the executable, a fullscreen window opens and shows the Klei logo, then the game crashes after about 7 seconds. I have reinstalled several times and verified integrity through Steam. I have no mods installed.

OS: Arch Linux

DE: GNOME on Wayland

CPU: Intel i5-10400

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti

Steps to Reproduce

Not entirely sure how reproducible this issue is. For me:

1. Install game.

2. Press play.

Update: Changing the compatibility layer has allowed the game to launch. I still believe this is a bug but I would consider this solved.

Properties... > Compatibility > Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool > Legacy runtime 1.0
