black screen

Please see our troubleshooting guide for resolutions to most issues that may pop up when playing the game. Should the guide not help, please provide provide us your DxDiag.txt and output_log.txt files. 

I am running into this same issue. I also noticed that my Crew all appear to have "pink" bodies and after the world is generated (you get to the screen shot shown above) the loads the world but no sprites and freezes. Music and sounds do continue. 

Same issues for me, both the pink bodies and the black screen on starting a new game. I am running a GTX1060 with the latest drivers and software in the troubleshooting guide.
