When you paste a coordinate into the coordinate box the game doesn't care about it and the coordinate isn't taken into account whatsoever - the generated world will be whatever was in the box before player pasted their desired coordinate.
The only way for the custom seed to take effect is to go into customisation settings and set it there.
Steps to Reproduce
Go to world creation, take note of the pre-filled coordinate box, paste your desired coordinate and start the game - the pre-filled values are the one in effect
