After I tamed two ballphins followers, I went on land to gather resources and exited out of the game. And when I got back they were on land. I thought they would leave you like wildbore followers leave you when you go out to sea. I did not use console commands for this.

1. Tame ballphin(s) 2. Go on land. 3. Exit and reenter world.
