the doydoys wont naturally progress from teenager to adult without being picked up by the player while sleeping when this happens the game will not pickup the teen doydoy as a item into your inventory but instead transform the doydoy into a adult where it was when you tried to pick it up so im guessing the timer on the ageing process of the teenager to adult gets bugged out and pauses somehow untill the player resets the doydoy or something to this nature so it basically makes doydody breeding impossible without player intervention for any doydoy to make it to adult stage to be able to even breed
load up a shipwrecked world on pc
locate and collect 2 doydoys
drop them on the ground in a safe space
watch them mate
watch the egg appear
wait for the egg to hatch
wait for the baby doydoy to grow into a teen doy doy
wait ....... you will notice no progression the teen will never mature into a adult no matter how long you wait
pickup the teen doydoy that will not grow up with time when it is sleeping (how you make it sleep is optional)
you will then notice it does not go into your inventory instead it transforms into a adult doydoy......
this is some sort of timer bug with the transfer of teen to adult stage in the doydoy id imagine
