All character progress Lost

After joining the Hamlet Beta I lost all character progress including Shipwrecked characters, Maxwell and Wes from adventure mode.

Steps to Reproduce
Joined Hamlet Beta, went to create new world all progress gone.
Go to bugs

This is because the beta uses a different save location. I think Klei did so to prevent loss of progress of your actual game because of new bugs.
