Inventory doesn't hide status numbers when closing after fuelling an item with controller

Lillyth
  • DLC VERSION - IMPORTANT!: Vanilla - NO DLC, Reign of Giants, Shipwrecked, Hamlet Fixed

When playing with a controller, opening your inventory shows your status numbers (and pauses the game); and when you close it, it hides them again.

If you add fuel to say a lantern, it will kick you out of the inventory paused screen (as is required for the animation to play). For some reason though, it doesn't hide the status numbers when it does, contrary to what happens when you close your inventory normally.

A temporary fix is opening and closing your inventory again after fuelling.

Steps to Reproduce
  • Play the game with a controller.
  • Get some light bulbs and a lantern.
  • Open your inventory (which should then show your status numbers) and add the lightbulb to the lantern.
  • Notice how the game unpauses, but doesn't hide the status numbers.
