It's a little odd how the same fire that cools a player down can overheat a tallbird egg. I'm not sure if this is a bug or an oversight, but it seems unintended?
Steps to Reproduce
1. Get a tallbird egg.
2. Spawn or build an endothermic fire or endothermic firepit.
3. Put the tallbird egg next to the cold fire and wait.
