Worm attacked by unprovoked Birch treeguard

I have literally never met this Birch treeguard in my life and it's acting like I just insulted it and called its roots fat.

Steps to Reproduce

Be Wormwood, go near any Birchnut treeguard, get attacked.
Doesn't matter if you've attacked it or not, it just assaults you regardless.

Eyeplants and sea weeds are neutral to Wormwood, so it's questionable.

At first I thought maybe, but nothing else that's a plant follows this behavior. 
If Wormwood was the one chopping it or trees, yes that'd make it aggro, but it shouldn't if Wormwood wasn't involved at all, like other treeguards.
