Still worth looking into, there's a general agreeance about wanting the worm segment hits to not be able to stun-lock players, which can happen when not in a wereform, by getting launched into another segment. This is that but worse, you never get launched because you're immune to it.

They could just give the segments the bee treatment as a simple solution, regarding player stunlock. Or go for something a bit more curated, like specifically causing an amount of hits to stop causing hit/knockback states for a short time, allowing the player to move.

The wereforms will inconsistently be knocked back, but sometimes will simply not knock you back and stun you like in the video.

This makes no sense having a knockback function work on a random basis given there is not a single other example of this aside from the great depth worm. I can't come with a good reason why this would be the case specifically for wereforms for specifically this boss.
