Webber's spiders appear to cause an inordinate amount of lag on Klei servers

Anytime I've played Webber the server becomes increasingly laggy once I've started taming spiders.

Huge groups of spiders that naturally spawn from groups of spider nests don't appear to cause much problems, such as from a spider quarry, but as soon as I start gathering a hoard the servers start to chug along, specifically at the beginning of dusk and in the morning.

I've noticed that the spider nests I steal spiders from will sometimes never regenerate the spiders I captured, so if I were to guess it may have something to do with that?
