Unsubbed mods not disappearing.

I once had a lot of mods. And then the game stopped loading whenever I tried to start a new file/server. I assumed it must have had something to do with the mods, so I unsubscribed from every mod I had in order to clear them all (I can just redownload the best ones later). But even now, some of the mods I unsubscribed from are still appearing in my in-game folder. I also still can't start a new file/server and my old ones went out of date with new updates. Therefore I literally can't even play the game unless I join someone else's server (which I more often than not get booted from almost immediately). I opened and closed it a few times in order to see if it would refresh, but that didn't work.
