Trees keep appearing out of nowhere at base

I did not plant any of these trees. Many, many other trees have appeared in spots inconveniently close to some of my base's structures and it gets really annoying constantly chopping them. 

Steps to Reproduce
Play the game for a while with a base set in a forest
Go to bugs

I know that I can change the turf to prevent it but it shouldn't really be happening this close to structures and stuff. It's meant to be subtle and help the world keep its natural look. Here it's just being annoying.
