Tin Fishing Bin not slowing Fish Spoilage (?)

Hey there!

I was wondering if the Tin Fishing Bin had been adjusted or tweaked to not revert fish spoilage anymore (or to slow it to a rate that I can't notice)? I thought it might be a mod, but I started a fresh vanilla world, placed a fish in the bin, and it still caused my fish to spoil over time. I'm sorry if this was intentional and I just missed it in a patch!

(Sorry for the post in Don't Starve singleplayer bugs, I misread the tracker page!)

Steps to Reproduce
1. Catch or spawn a fish, 2. Place a Tin Fishing Bin on a boat, 3. Place the fish in the bin, 4. Watch the fish spoil over time

User Feedback

The Don't Starve wiki says that the tin fishing bin restores fish freshness at 33% of their spoiling rate rather than letting them spoil at all, even more slowly. So unless this was purposely changed, I think this is a bug.

My tin fishin bin is also letting my fish spoil. Is it positional? I have it placed as close to the edge of my boat as possible. Does it need to be closer to the middle or something?

Any update on this bug? We have this issue as well and fishes we caught just bounce out of our fishin' bin when spoiled.
