When using the Steam Deck, the back bumpers (L4, L5, R4, R5) are mapped in the controls but are not detected properly by the game.
When L4 is pressed, the game registers it as if the Y button had been pressed.
When R4 is pressed, the game registers it as if the B button had been pressed.
When L5 or R5 is pressed, the game does not appear to detect anything at all.
This means that on default bindings the chat is inaccessible, as well as the ability to zoom in and out.
Steps to Reproduce
Use the Steam Deck to reproduce, with “Input Device” set to Steam Deck.
- Attempt to access the chat in-game. The character on default binds will instead examine the highlighted object (L4, global chat) or nothing will happen (L5, whisper chat).
- Attempt to zoom in or out in-game. Instead, on default binds the character will probably do nothing because there’s nothing nearby with an alt action, but if there is, probably does the alt action (R4), or just won’t do anything either way (R5).
- Go to Options > Controls and attempt to rebind any action to L4, R4, L5, or R5. If L4, the game will show the new binding as Y. If R4, the game will show the new binding as B. If L5 or R5, the game will not do anything and continue to prompt for a new keybind until another button is pressed.
