  1. No console. DST cannot seem to recognize a local network if it bit it in the *** so i normally have to use the c_connect command to avoid a ton of stutter and lag, except the console is not accessible on the Steam Deck. The on-screen keyboard cannot invoke it and the game completely ignores USB peripherals. Although i love that you left in the option for 'Console Auto-Pause' .. yeah, if i could open it.
  2. Game ignores USB peripherals. Do you use desktop mode on the Steam Deck and want to play with your keyboard and mouse? forget it, the game simply wont register a mouse or keyboard event. Even in the settings the Input Device is locked to 'Steam Deck' at all times
  3. Speaking of settings, why were the graphics options taken away? In desktop mode my game starts windowed mode and guess what, the 'fullscreen' option is gone. As is the resolution, display output, small textures and netbook mode options. Not grayed out, completely missing. I can understand them being locked in gaming mode (and maybe im ignorant and theres no way to tell what mode its in) but options should only be added, never removed.
  4. where are the settings files stored on the deck? The only info i could find was this fandom wiki page that lists its under the home directory in a '.klei' folder, except i cannot find that anywhere (yes, i can view hidden folders and its not there). I have seen other posts online that they cannot find it either. Where are the settings and local games being saved on the Steam Deck?

Thank you for reporting this. I was making a post about the same issues I had with my steamdeck and asking for help if anyone knows something about this or how you can play DST in real desktop mode. Sadly there was no reaction. I hope this gets some attention and we can play DST with mouse and keyboard with the steam deck like most other games that run in desktop mode perfektly like on a pc.

If u want to go to the klei folder = home\.steam\steam\steamapps\compatdata\322330\pfx\drive_c\users\steamuser\Documents\Klei 

the part with the weird numbers is the steam app id. Still dont know how to fix it.

I am this close to installing windows just to play don't starve together on my deck with the proper controls I would use......

Yep I cannot change graphics settings on Steam Deck. The settings are not visible inside the game itself and the tools implemented in the Steam OS do not work for this game. Its also a shame that we have the black bars on top and bottom in stock resolution on Steam Deck
