Spritzed Structures for Kitcoon Hide and Seek not working

I used grass tufts, cattails, and berry bushes for my hide and seek game and they worked as viable hiding spots before I spritzed them. Once I spritzed them, to avoid brightshades showing up every so often, the nursery told me I didn't have enough hiding spots, so I can only assume that they don't have the tag for being a viable hiding spot. Not sure if this is intentional or not.
