This one's an ancient one! Tallbirds are in a very poor state and have a handful of bugs riddling them but the most intrusive one I would feel would be that they cannot board boats with the player. Every other follower mob (and some not) is able to board boats with the player, like the Pigman, Catcoon, Frogs, Chester, ect.
Small/teen/tallbirds are sadly missing this feature.
Steps to Reproduce
Kidnap a tallbird egg, raise the poor hatchling under your own wing and give it the false impression you are its rightful mother, take it out boating for a vacation, realize it cannot boat with you, cry.
Smallbirds hatched on boats are also trapped and thus unable to leave the boat. This error also applies to Lavaes too.
