PS4 Controller problem

I am trying to play DST whit my ps4 controller, but its not working properly.

  

If I don't activate the recognition settings in steam. The control works, but the generic control description remains. In the menu it is permanently going to the left. making it impossible to access other parts like selecting items and creating objects.

If I activate identification on steam and use the big picture, it appears that the controller is configured by steam, but in the game it is not identified.

I've also tried using control settings in game properties before starting it. It works, but when the game actually starts the controller settings disappear.

Steps to Reproduce
Controller connected by cable -> enter the game -> generic controller -> always going to the left.

Controller connected by cable -> identification and configuration by steam -> controller not recognized when opening the game.

Controller connected by cable -> controller setting before starting the game -> properties -> controller -> using steam setting -> works in menu -> doesn't work while playing in the world.

Have you been previously successful with a PS4 controller on Don't Starve/Together?

Have you tried connecting the PS4 controller via bluetooth? I use a PS4 controller myself, but always connect via bluetooth. Hold in the PlayStation button and the Share button at the same time for a few seconds, and the LED will begin flashing, that indicates it's in pairing mode. Go into your computer's bluetooth settings and connect to the controller, and you should be set. After pairing it with the computer, powering on the PS4 controller will likely continue automatically connecting to the computer instead of the PS4. To reverse this, power on the PS4 via the power button on the console, wire the PS4 controller to the PS4, and then hit the PlayStation button.

I've just tried using the BT to connect the DS4 controller to the game, but it still shows the controller as "Generic Controller in game. This might be a known issue, that is going to be fixed in one of the next hotfix.
My controller is connected via BT

But the game still recognizes the gamepad as a "Generic Controller"

The only fix of the issue I see right now is using 3rd party software, such as DS4Windows (GitHub link) and emulating Xbox Controller with it (Simply go to Edit tab, go to "Other" and change "Emulated controller" setting (quick Imgur guide from me on this)or ReWASD (pretty poor analog, that replaces your keyboard inputs with gamepad inputs or smth like this, never actually investigated in this. The link to the website. Not available in RU and BY, but still available in the rest of the world. Link)
