Problems with connecting to other players. Help!

Please verify the integrity of your game files via steam.
Also ensure you have write access to \Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether and all the sub folders
If these do not help then attach your log file located here: \Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\client_log.txt

Facing the same issue: can host a game, but fail to connect to a server, neither LAN, nor online.

There are a number of "failed to save file" errors in your log. This normally comes from file permissions issues or anti-virus software preventing DST from writing to files.

Double check that you have write permissions to \Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\client_save 
Also make sure your anti-virus software is not blocking DST.

You could try renaming your "\Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether" directory to "\Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether_old" and then run the game and see if the issue is resolved.
