No Animals

I create a new world with a ton of animals but when the game start there are little to none animals. Made like 5 new worlds and this happens every time. Deleted all mods and tried it again but the same thing happened. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Create a game with a ton for the animals.

Go to bugs

The animals should appear in their respective biomes- if you set Beefalos to more, you should look for them in the same place as usual. They won't be spawned across the world anymore, just more frequently across the biomes they would usually spawn in. Same with other mobs like catcoons. 

What animals have you checked to more? Maybe most of them don't spawn near the portal.
