Monster meat on the ground disappears when dropping additional meat

My inventory was full and trying to drop some stale meat to swap with fresh ones. Noticed as I was dropping them, meat disappeared in front of me.

EDIT: I've confirmed the disappearing was because the monster meat started stacking onto each other.
