Just a suggestion:
Can you use TUNING.MAX_WALKABLE_PLATFORM_RADIUS instead of TUNING.BOAT.RADIUS in components/placer.lua line 62 and prefabs/boat_bumpers line 92 ?
This will be more consistent with the functions of map.lua.
It will also allow bumper to work with mods with bigger boats.
