This effect is used by the Malbatross and Eyes of Terror when hovering over the ocean. Because it doesn't have networking, clients can't see it.
What I mean is that it doesn't have this in the prefab:
inst.entity:AddNetwork()
It is probably been like that since release so nobody realized it was missing...
Also, I think it looks way nicer with ocean blending:
inst.AnimState:SetOceanBlendParams(TUNING.OCEAN_SHADER.EFFECT_TINT_AMOUNT)
Steps to Reproduce
- Observe the Malbatross or Eyes of Terror with caves disabled.
- Observe the Malbatross or Eyes of Terror with caves enabled.
