Lurking Nightmare appear in upper Nightmare Fissure

There are also Nightmare Fissure in other cave areas outside of the Ruins, which emit light different from the Ruins Fissure, but everything else is the same, opening and closing according to the Nightmare cycle. Even if there are no stage change reminders (sound effects and color tone changes) outside the Ruins. According to the update instructions, Lurking Nightmare was added for the Ruins, and it still appears in other areas. It is unclear whether this is intentional.

So why do you think they would say things that are different from the actual situation? Jason also emphasized in the live that this was added for the Ruins.

Another point is that in DST, the three types of Nightmare Fissure (Upper Rift, Ruins Fissure, and Lunar Grotto Fissure) share the same code, but unlike Nightmare Light, only one type of Fissure belongs to the Ruins. I suspect that the current situation is caused by their lack of subdivision of Fissures, rather than intentional design.
