Linux/Steam - Crash upon reloading hosted game

Running Linux Mint.

If I join an online game, everything is fine.

If I try to host a game (online or local), everything works fine until I disconnect.

Attempting to rejoin that game then intermittently (>90% but not always) causes a crash.

I am trying to be systematic, so here are a series of logs:

Fresh client log from just after successful local world creation: client_log upon creation.txt

Immediately after, I successfully rejoined, here is the log: client_log nocrash.txt

The next rejoin attempt crashed, generating this log: client_log post crash.txt

All subsequent attempts crashed.

 

Steps to Reproduce

-host a game
-leave that game
-attempt to rejoin that game

Result: crash to desktop >90% of the time

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

I have the exact same problem. 

I bought the game twice for me and my girlfriend.

She is not playing video games usually and I think DST was a good game for her, but so frustrating to spend 30 minutes trying to resume the world over and over and over ... 

Same spec (Steam, Linux, Ubuntu 20.04)

I have the same issue since about December.

It did not crashed so often as 90% of the times I tried to resume/host a game. However, it seems it got worse after the recent QOL release. No need to host, leave and then rejoin. Opening the game and trying to host is enough for it to crash.

Running on Debian 11/bullseye/testing, kernel 5.10.19.
