As the video shows, Kitcoon might have gotten into kelp if there was kelp nearby. This creates two problems. First, you can't use the right mouse button to find them, only the left mouse button. Second, once you find them, kitcoon and hongbao immediately fall into the sea and you get nothing.
Steps to Reproduce
1. plant kelp near the Kitcoon nursery
2. Play hide and seek
A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
