Kicked out of the game after trying to enter a world

Whenever I try to enter any of my worlds, the screen goes black and I am soon kicked out of the game. This happens even with no client mods and with worlds that have a small amount of mods.

Steps to Reproduce

I am not sure how to describe replicating it, as it just happens. This is the video of it.

I found out this is the result of the mod 'new boat shapes'. It does this on old worlds. It can be reversed, and the dev of it has instructions on the mod's discussion page, but they seem to not know how to yet fix this
