Grumble bees can become homless, aka not follow Beequeen

I think the Bee queen summons a lot of bees because the grumble bees that follow her is her 'limit", when they stop following her she will spawn more "following bees".

Steps to Reproduce
Run away with a couple grumbles during 3rd phase, then she will spawn more that will follow her.
Go to bugs

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

Hmm, Grumble Bees can become homeless and subtracted from the Bee Queen's limit, but only at a much farther range than they would actually chase you.

the other problem comes that they are limitless to be spawned and can act as homeless

The issue appears to be that when they are enraged, they are allowed to go out of range of the Bee Queen while chasing their designated target.

thats why i said stage 3 of beequeen.
