Game updates mod automatically without me allowing this

Dont know since when, but I`m currently working on a mod.
I change the version eg. from 0.93 to 0.931 while I made few bugfixes. Then I want to test the fixes prior to uploading the new version. I load a world with this mod active and caves enabled. And very often the game simply downloads the OLDER version of the mod without me allowing/asking for this, reverting all my bugfixes.

This really sucks, please make the game to:
1) not updates mod if I dont click the update button
2) do not download versions with LOWER version number.
