Floor disappears after some time out in the ocean

422596 osx_steam, Intel Iris graphics, MacbookPro11.1 (aka '13" retina mid-2014'). Usually the shark attack sound plays when this happens, though I think I have had shark attacks without this glitch happening. Is the shark attack supposed to have some visual effect that doesn't work right in this case?

I've spent significant time out in the ocean a few months ago (before the Troubled Waters update) - same hardware, but was playing on a dedicated server - without ever having seen this glitch. This is single-shard mastersim.

Steps to Reproduce

Spend time in the ocean, get attacked by shark.

It's actually not just land missing the texture - the water is missing the coloration  that distinguishes various ocean depths, and sometimes under some rotations, the water texture turns transparent, allowing for the old ocean waves to become visible:
