[Fixed] Shutting down the game does not kill its process on GNU/Linux

When quitting the game the process still lingers indefinitely. This started recently, but I am not sure when or why since I have not updated anything relevant in that time span. :v

This regards the GNU/Linux version of Steam and 64-bit version of the game.

Starting Steam through a terminal does not throw any helpful message.

Edit:

Pertains to the release v568393 (64-bit) of the game. All of a sudden the game has started freezing when exiting and saving a world. The world gets saved successfully, since it can be loaded after restarting the game, but Don't Starve Together freezes on the loading screen immediately after quitting and shutting down the server.

The problem where the game doesn't shut down gracefully after simply starting and quitting the game persists.

Edit2:

As of 2024-04-13 the game exits gracefully once again!! The same goes for saving and shutting down a server. Some system or game update must have fixed it. The issue has been resolved. :))

Steps to Reproduce

Start the game. Exit the game.

Edit:

The issue is gone!

Hi there! I have also got this bug, even got on forums and subreddits of my distribution to get an assist on that question, what distro you had used? I am using openSuse Tumbleweed on KDE Plasma, if you have another distro then this is bug from Klei's side, if not - then this is another case

Pardon the late reply. Arch Linux. The issue persists.
