As of the latest update, feeding spiders in the inventory will tame them (as well as one roaming spider near you). And feeding Switcherdoodles to a roaming spider will tame it as well.
But feeding a Switcherdoodle to an inventory spider will not do the same.
Steps to Reproduce
Feed Switcherdoodle to a spider in your inventory, then release the spider and watch it not follow you.
